UV/H2O2 degradation of diclofenac in a photocatalytic fuel cell

The purpose of this work was to construct an integrated reactor which could photoelectrocatalytically generate hydrogen peroxide under solar radiation and simultaneously degrade a recalcitrant pollutant by the UV/H 2 O process. Diclofenac has been chosen as water soluble model pollutant. Hydrogen produced atmospheric oxygen reduction in photocatalytic fuel cell. cell comprised transparent photoanode electrode bearing combined CdS/TiO photocatalyst carbon cloth cathode nanoparticulate without any other electrocatalyst. dissolved compartment where generated degraded UV support. Degradation monitored UV–Vis spectrophotometry high performance liquid chromatography. results show that functionality is realistic effective it provides alternative route for sustainable operation aiming at environmental remediation. • Test device simultaneous production H degradation.
